However, if we chant this Mantra especially focusing on Her identity as the consort of Vishnu (Vishnu patni) then it will help us attract good fortune and wealth that is stable and not flickering. That is because the chanting of this Mantra enthrones the Divine Couple Laxmi Narayan within our heart.

ॐ श्री महादेव्यै च विद्महे विष्णु पत्न्यै च धीमहि तन्नो लक्ष्मी प्रचोदयात ॐ ॥

 

 

Hindi Translation

 

आइए हम महान देवी माता महालक्ष्मी का ध्यान करे जो महाविष्णु की पत्नी है। वह तेजस्वी महालक्ष्मी देवी हमारे चित्त को समझबूझ से प्रेरित और प्रकाशमान बनाये॥

 

 

English Transliteration

 

Maha Laxmī Gāyatrī Mantra

 

Oṁ śrī Mahādevyai ca vidmahe Viṣṇu Patnyai ca dhīmahi tanno Lakṣmī pracodayāt Oṁ ||    

 

 

English Translation

 

Oṁ. Let us meditate on the Great Goddess Śrī Lakṣmī, the consort of Śrī Mahā Viṣhṇu. May That effulgent Mahā Lakṣmī Devi inspire and illuminate our mind with understanding.
